Some of the features and functionality of the site are only available to users who choose to register. When you register you are required to provide information about yourself which should be true, complete and accurate should any of this information change please edit your details using the My Account functions. Eligibility to purchase
The site and the purchase of products is strictly limited to individuals and other parties and entities who can lawfully enter into a contract in accordance with these terms and conditions under English law.
To be eligible to purchase you must hold a valid debit or credit card acceptable to Selkie and its payment agents and authorise Selkie to process a charge or charges up to the total amount of the order you have placed.
Purchases made on the site must be for the personal use of the buyer or as a gift and are not to be re-sold or used for any other commercial purpose. Selkie reserves the right to restrict multiple quantities being shipped to one address or to one buyer.
Placing Orders
When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase a product or products subject to these terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability.
Acceptance of Orders
Orders placed are subject to confirmation of the order price. At the time of placing your order you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming all the details including total price and the shipping details, please check these details and inform us immediately at customerservice@selkieswim.com if there are any discrepancies. This email is not the formal acceptance of your order it is a written confirmation of what you have transmitted to Selkie, acceptance only takes place when we dispatch the goods to you.
Selkie reserves the right not to accept your order for any reason but for example this could be because we have run out of stock, we have not been able to obtain authorisations for payment or we are not permitted by law or other restrictions to ship to you.
Prior to our acceptance of your order no contract exists between you and Selkie and we will not be liable for any failure by us to accept your order or our withdrawing of any items from your order.
Security
The Selkie site uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure your use of the site is secure.
Our payment systems are handled exclusively by Adyen and their systems ensure that payment data is never on our servers. Customer data is encrypted using client–side encryption (CSE) technology customer data is encrypted before it is transmitted and only decrypted when it reaches Adyen to allow them to process payment. Selkie is not able to decrypt this information ensuring complete security on our site.
Payment
All payments made on the Selkie site are encrypted, your card details are not retained by us and your details are not visible to us. Your card will only be debited when we dispatched your products.
On receipt of your order we will carry out a pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction. We will be provided with an encrypted code that confirms you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction. This amount will not be taken from your card until we ship but that amount of your available funds/credit limit will be allocated to this transaction.
After we have picked and packed your order and at the same time as we book the shipping we will process the payment with your card holder using the encrypted confirmation code previously provided following which your order is marked as dispatched.

Price
All prices shown on the Selkie website include UK VAT (value-added tax) at 20%. At checkout however, VAT is not charged on sales outside the UK and the Isle of Man. All items for delivery outside the UK and the Isle of Man (including the Channel Islands) are dispatched duty and VAT unpaid. Please be aware that you are responsible for any tax or duty payable when the goods arrive in your country. Your order may be delayed by customs authorities until you have paid any applicable duty and VAT.
VAT
Our VAT registration number is GB 202282553.
All our customers are charged the same price regardless of where they live in the UK we do not offer refunds on orders delivered to the Channel Islands.
Availability
Selkie will try and ensure that all the descriptions, price and other details contained on the site are accurate but we cannot guarantee that errors won’t occur. Should we discover an error that may be of such significance as to make you change your decision to place your order (e.g. price ) then we will contact you to give you the option of confirming your order as amended or cancelling.
Products are usually only displayed as available for purchase when we hold stock at our fulfilment warehouse in Cheltenham, UK. In the unlikely event during busy periods that we have accepted an order where we have no stock available we will contact you. You will have the option of continuing on back order or cancelling.
Shipping
Selkie offers standard single fixed price shipping on all deliveries for anywhere in the UK using Royal Mail Tracked. This system does not require a signature on delivery. Selkie only dispatches orders on working days (Mon-Fri exc. Bank holidays), please allow for this when placing orders at weekends.
We offer a 48 hour service and endeavour to dispatch all orders received before 1.00pm on a working day on the same day otherwise the next working day. All customers will receive email confirmation of the dispatch including a Royal Mail tracking number that will allow the parcel to be tracked at: https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
We are unable to deliver to PO box addresses

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement of the parties and no waiver of any of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless and only if it is agreed in writing by Selkie.
These terms and conditions and all the policies and procedures set out above are to be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and in the event of any dispute, claim or other issue associated with these terms and conditions you irrevocably submit that the dispute, claim or other action shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
If you breach these terms and condition any waiver by us in respect of that breach shall not be construed as a waiver of any other proceeding or succeeding breach.
